NEW YORK—November 18, 2021—CleanCapital announced today that it has acquired two operating solar projects from EDF Renewables. The projects, totaling 11.9 megawatts (MW), were built in 2014 and supply clean energy to the Town of Billerica and the Town of Wareham; both municipalities are in Massachusetts.

“We are thrilled to work with EDF Renewables, one of the most sophisticated developers in the industry, to add these operating solar projects to our growing portfolio,” said Julia Bell, Chief Commercial Officer for CleanCapital. “CleanCapital has now acquired more than 50 MW of solar in Massachusetts, a reflection of that state’s forward-thinking approach to clean energy policy.”

CleanCapital’s cumulative acquisitions now total more than $880 million. The company has acquired or financed 250 MW comprising more than 160 projects in 19 states.

CleanCapital engaged K&L Gates as Buyer’s counsel on this transaction.
