CleanCapital is developing the 5 MW American Kestrel Solar project in Chestertown, Maryland. As one of the nation’s largest commercial solar asset owners, CleanCapital will own and operate the site, delivering clean energy to community solar subscribers through the Delmarva distribution grid. As a distributed community solar project, it will offer eligible local Delmarva residents the opportunity to subscribe and save on their energy bills.

APPLICATION OF MD AMERICAN KESTREL, LLC FOR A CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY TO CONSTRUCT A 5.0 MW SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC GENERATING FACILITY IN KENT COUNTY, MARYLAND
NOTICE OF EVENING PUBLIC COMMENT HEARING An evening public comment hearing in the above-captioned matter is hereby scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, 2026 6:30 p.m., located at Comfort Inn & Suites Chestertown at 150 Scheeler Road, Chestertown, Maryland 21620 concerning MD American Kestrel, LLC’s application for a certificate of public convenience and necessity to construct a 5.0 megawatt alternating current (“MW”) community solar energy generating facility and associated interconnection facilities (the “Project”). The Project is anticipated to occupy an approximate 39.43 acres of an approximately 104.94-acre property located at 23548 Chestertown Road, Chestertown, MD, described by Tax Map 0036, Grid 0003B, Parcel 0024 in Kent County, Maryland.
The hearing will begin with a presentation of the proposed Project by the Applicant; followed by a presentation by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Power Plant Research Program (PPRP) of its recommendations with respect to the proposed Project; and followed by the Technical Staff of the Public Service Commission of Maryland (“Staff”) as to its recommendations regarding the proposed Project.
